Dean Boyer, Senior Pastor
Pastor Dean is passionate about the restoring Lord and His transforming Word. Since middle school, he knew he would be in full-time Christian ministry. So, after high school, he attended Liberty University, majoring in Bible and minoring in Greek and Theology. He also has earned degrees from Butler University (M.A.) and Faith Evangelical Seminary (D.Min).
He was born in Long Beach, California, seven miles from the beach. He has been happily married to Della, whom he met in college, since December 19, 1975. They have two grown sons who live in Spokane, Washington and Tulsa, Oklahoma. They also have four grandchildren.
Pastor Dean has served in the leadership of five churches in California, Taiwan and Washington. He and his family spent eleven years in Taiwan as sponsored missionaries with OMS International. He has also served in Christian school administration and was an interim assistant professor of education at John Brown University.
His hobbies include reading, writing, cooking and gardening (especially roses). He loves Hawaii, where he did some of his graduate work, and traveling; he has traveled to eight foreign countries including: China, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Austria (favorite), Hungary, Germany and Hong Kong.
Something unique: for a summer, he worked at a Southern California television station. During these months, he worked closely with the late Jake Hess, James Blackwood and other beloved Christian artists.
His legacy: I desire with all my heart to have my family and those who have known me be able to say this:
